After a Bachelor’s degree in Zoology from Andhra Loyola College, he went on to Andhra University to do MSc (Human Genetics and Physical Anthropology). Research career at Delhi University in the Department of Anthropology under the UNESCO “Man and Biosphere” program. Did additional research work in Social and Cultural Anthropology.
He joined a small group to translate the Bible into Spoken Telugu back in 1984 and produce
a Study Bible, the first of its kind in any Indian language.
On his own, he went on to produce a Bible Dictionary, Concordance, Commentary, and other Bible Study aids.
His translations were received very well among the Telugu Christians. Dr. Job Sudarshan is basically a Christian
Professional in the field of Telugu Christian Literature since 1984. His translation of ‘Streams in the Desert’ is
the all-time best seller in the history of Telugu literature. Countless contemporary Christians owe their spiritual
growth and comfort to this book next to the Bible.
He is now producing a series of Bible guides under the “Vedapatham” project. Five Volumes covering the Pentateuch and
Old Testament and New Testament historical books are now available. Wisdom literature and books of the Prophets are under
production.
Telugu Indian Revised Version (telirv)- He worked as a Project Manager in a new Bible Translation (into current Telugu)
project for Wycliffe Associates, USA.
He is instrumental in translating various Study Bibles over the years such as the Schofield Bible, Full Life Study Bible,
and The Lutheran Study Bible.
The most significant work he is presently involved in, is the original production of a 3-volume Bible Encyclopedia,
with an expected completion date of 2025. He compiled about 8000 Bible words, names, philosophical concepts, and theological
terms. These words were split into three groups, that will fill 3 volumes.
Dr. Job will be involved in a long-term project translating Christian Classics into Telugu.
Dr. Job is a much sought-after Bible Teacher. He does not conform to the traditional preacher role. A rich blend of scholarship, communication acumen, and informal style has endeared him to many, over the years. He taught the Bible book of Revelation on TV since summer for a whole year. Currently he is teaching various Bible books/topics to groups of pastors and believers in four towns in the State.
Job served as a consultant for Samaritans Purse, Holland since 1994 an international Funding agency of repute.
Through this agency and through other means, Dr. Job along with his associates, has distributed hundreds of cycles,
mopeds, heavier two-wheelers, P. A. Systems, sewing machines, musical instruments, and so on to village volunteers.
Dr. Job regularly conducts orientation sessions for village-level community welfare workers.
On his own Job helped dozens of graduate students with their educational needs. He has reached out to help many widows,
and other people in need.
He is actively involved in the integrated growth activities of Koya people in VR Puram Mandal and
surroundings in ASR district, Andhra Pradesh state.

Dr. Job has published about a dozen books in the Telugu language. His long poem “Kaki” (The Crow)
was published by Visalandhra Publishers and received very well by the Telugu literati.
Dr. Job has many manuscripts awaiting publication.
Job served as Head, of the Department of Ethics and Religion, at Andhra Loyola College for 15 years. He compiled a textbook of Value Education and distinguished himself as a good teacher and a role model to thousands of Students.
Job did his MSc in Psychology. He also did a highly practical Certificate course in Psychological Counseling from the Christian Counselling Centre in Vellore, Tamil Nadu state. He has been extending counseling help to dozens of young adults each year and also serves on the panel of Psychologists of the local Police Commissionerate.
Always interested in Theology, Job wrote a thesis comparing the ethical teachings of Proverbs in the Bible. Job was duly awarded a Ph.D. from Hebron Theological Open University. Since then he has agreed to be on the Senate of the local Chapter of this University and evaluates the theses submitted from time to time.
The area of study now Job is interested in is Ethics. He is regularly invited to speak in seminars for various professional
groups both public and private, on professional Ethics. He accepts occasional invitations as a trainer in the areas of Soft skills,
Self-concept, Mentoring, Communication skills, Understanding Adolescents, and other allied disciplines.
Job Sudarshan and his wife Jalaja have a daughter (working as a doctor in Medicines sans Frontiers) and a son, working
in an NGO among the rag pickers of the Yanadi urban tribe.
Job Sudarshan is the teaching elder in the Christian Assembly in Badava Peta. He is also the general elder and Bible teacher in various assemblies across Andhra Pradesh state and elsewhere.
